Great night at the Dunnington Sports Club for the York Vale and Foss Evening League Cricket Awards Evening
The effects that were best received in my opinion
-Lie Detector trick with a colour cube.
-Bending a coin
- Storm Force 7 was a surprising hit for me and got great reactions way above what I expected.
- Hacking into the club's wifi signals to reveal a chosen card
-The inverted card signed by the spectator
- Chosen card to wallet to locked box
-Little plunger
- Blindfolded separation of red and blue cards into two piles.
I also did a stage piece called Chinese Choice with three volunteers but I hadn't expected to be asked to do this when I was booked so, although it worked just fine, I think only nearby tables could hear what was going on. In retrospect I should have commandeered the hand microphone and got someone else to do the writing on the pad, leaving me to talk to the audience.
Huge thanks to David Harrison for photos featuring myself and for some awesome reactions on guest's faces which is exactly what I wanted him to capture. As the saying goes "a picture is worth a thousands words".
