There were quite a few children at this anniversary party so I was kept busy with effects like:

  • Grandma's necklace - A free choice of strings which hold three beads are tied into a granny knot and on the count of three, pass straight threw the child's hand (without any harm coming to them of course).
  • A nut magically unscrews itself from a bolt using the magician's psychokinetic powers!
  • A string wrapped around a finger magically jumps from that finger to another one. 
  • A £1 coin is poured out of a small glass bottle and the lid is removed. Without removing the lid again, the £1 coin magically appears back inside the bottle.
  • A dice penetrates through a phone which is placed inside a box. The phone is showing a whirling black hole on my website at the time and the dice penetrates through the phone and drops into the hand of the spectator.
  • The nine card trick was taught to a couple of lads and one of them learnt it really well. (He's probably hooked for life now)!

Also coins got bent, rings were made to vanish and reappear inside a nest of wallets, a chosen card magically appeared as a wifi source on the spectator's own phone and Pam got to keep a card with her name on it which had become magically inverted.

Pam also gave random answers to a series of 4 questions. I was spelling out her answers by dealing down cards for each letter. On the final question she arrived at her selected card and was initially disappointed with the result until I revealed the twist of how she had a very special personality indeed.

I was excited to perform my latest acquisition which is based on the old game of Cluedo with 5 rooms and a choice of a dozen murderers. I get to figure out who the murderer is by asking a series of questions. It worked perfectly on one of the guests but sadly didn't work for Pam. I think I know why and lesson learned - I'm going to have to revise my handling and instructions for part of the effect but I'm very confident that I get get my 50% success rate for this trick to 100% fairly easily. 

Lots of other old favourites of mine worked just fine and had people bewildered I'm sure.

I took about 20 photos but as most of them feature children I haven't shown them here. I've sent them to Pam though.
